The Sallie House, located at 508 2nd Street in Atchison, Kansas has been given the appropriate label of being the most haunted house in the whole state of Kansas. It has been documented and confirmed over time as having more than nine full bodied apparitions, with a small female child known as Sallie being the most active and famous of the ghosts.

The perfect place for a Sunday afternoon trip. Its main claim to fame is Shaw's Corner, the home of George Bernard Shaw - the only person to have been awarded both an Oscar & a Nobel prize. The famous playwright moved to Ayot St Lawrence in 1906 & lived here until his death in 1950. Now a National Trust property, the house & gardens are open to visitors. In the village is a haunted pub & the shell of the old church (it spoiled the view of a local squire & was turned into a 'romantic ruin').
