Inspired by traditional Icelandic circular yoke sweaters, Telja is knit in the round from the bottom up. Short rows are worked on the back of the sweater to bring the front of collar lower than the back. The stranded yoke is worked, and then the slightly scooped neckline is finished with an applied i-cord.

My yarn/palette picture from yesterday reminded me of the color scheme from my Afmaeli (top left). Those colors inspired the color scheme for my Riddari (top right). The colors from the Riddari were the inspiration for the color scheme for my first Telja prototype (bottom left) and those colors inspired my current gold Telja WIP (bottom right). It goes around and around! #knit #knitting #knittersofinstagram #instaknit #knitstagram #strikking #tricot #knitwear #lopapeysa #icelandicwool…
