Nästan klar med min första isländska tröja! En Riddari i tre nyanser av grått och så senapsgult. Väldigt nöjd med oket även om kontrasterna mellan de gråa nyanserna kunnat vara lite bättre! /Almost finished with my Riddari! Love the yoke although the contrast between the grey colors could have been better! #riddari #lopapeysa #lettlopi #islandskstrikkboka #islandskstrikk #islandströja

Choose from twelve fabulous and gorgeous Icelandic Sweater Patterns. I fell in love with these Lopapeysa on my trip to Iceland.

Inspired by traditional Icelandic circular yoke sweaters, Telja is knit in the round from the bottom up. Short rows are worked on the back of the sweater to bring the front of collar lower than the back. The stranded yoke is worked, and then the slightly scooped neckline is finished with an applied i-cord.
