Extraordinary ability for photographers to close access the Atlantic puffin rookery at Latrabjarg Cliffs in Iceland makes for great photo opportunities. Plus, unlike other ocean access sites, it’s possible to drive in to remote Latrabjarg Cliffs in western Iceland from the Ring Road. Beautiful, high sea cliffs, no fees at the site, and you can shoot as long as you like. Be sure to check out slideshow of Latrabjarg's puffins that accompanys the travel article.
In the spring the puffins starts arriving in Iceland, where the world's largest population of them stay, feed and breed over summer in Iceland. They are adorable, and easy to catch a glimpse of, when you visit Iceland on vacation. Here they are at Grassy Cliffs overlooking the Sea, perhaps at Látrabjarg or in the country side close to shore. Iceland is perfect for birdwatching!
