Matching Numbers with Ice Cream includes nine pages of ice cream scoops, numbers four through 20. Each ice cream cone has a number written on it and each ice cream scoop has two to four dice. Students will count the number of dots on each dice and then match it to the correctly numbered cone.
One of my favorite ways to do this is by incorporating themed centers into the classroom, like this Apple Number Match math center. My students are always so excited for their centers that sometimes I wonder if they even know that they are doing work and learning.
