Legend has it that a shoemaker lost a bet with the devil and had to make a pair of shoes while sitting on this rocky outcrop. He got distracted by a wedding procession sailing in the fjord below, lost his balance and fell down into the fjord. It is said that when the Seven Sisters marry, Skomakarnibbå will come crashing down into the fjord.
