Classroom Behavior Chart: A giant 100 chart & as the whole class does something really well one student pulls out a popsicle stick and colors the number found on the stick. Once ten numbers in a row are colored in, a party is earned.
Great idea for teams! Would be cute to give them a strip of color every time they behave appropriately! When they complete their rainbow, they earn a team reward! Great idea to have team rewards and not just class rewards.
I thought the idea of incremental punishment is good, gradually prolonging the loss of recess time gives teachers and students room to work and improve before giving them a harsh consequence for misbehaving based on the level of misbehavior.
Idea-Quiet Critters - when you decide it's important for students to be quiet, pass out the quiet critters. Take them away from students who talk. At the end of the activity anyone who still has a quiet critter gets a prize, point, whatever you use.
