It helps you get into a hollowback with better control of how much backbend you can manage. Practicing with one knee in also helps with balance.

But the fear was quickly overcome when I used blocks to help me float up into a chinstand instead of kicking up. Using blocks also take some pressure away from the chin so it is safer for beginners. Tips: 1) Stretch your hamstrings out good before trying. When walling in, you want to be able to get your hips as much over your shoulders as possible. Having tight hamstrings might…
