Repetition, grid style!

Squeezing another one in at the last moment! I had the chance to work on this week's challenge while the kids played in the pool in the evening and I had run out of the homework type things I had brought to do. It was kind of fun. I had to make up my own because I was never near the computer to look up the suggestions Maria had made in the original Zentangle blog post about it. A few are other grid-based tangles that sprang to mind so you may see some familiar's in there. I think my favorite…

Challenge-ING

Whaaatttt... It's Friday and I'm posting a challenge... I know... kinda crazy... I am normally one of the very last to post on the weekend. I am happy I had a chance to start on this one during the week! This is the Diva's Challenge #183 : UMT X-Did pattern by Annette Carlo. I enjoyed playing around with this pattern and took some creative license to remove it from it's "frame." I alternated patterns and had the lines connect at each "X." I liked the resulting flow and thought this finished…

Tangle Pattern: Zuan Shi

This pattern is inspired by a piece of Chinese furniture that I saw at the Freer Gallery in Washington, DC. I failed to note the makers name, or I would have named the pattern for him/her. I instead, chose the Chinese word for diamond. I hope you like it. The inspiration piece.
