THE GRAND FOYER, PALAIS GARNIER, (or simply known as OPERA), PARIS. Designed by the architect Charles Garnier and commenced in 1860, this supremely beautiful building was once the ultimate place for socialites to be seen in all their fashionable glory. With of the most opulent staircases in existence, it was finally inaugurated on 15th January1875 having survived numerous problems, such as the outbreak of war and the fall of the empire.
