Yurok Indian- Yuroks are a sedentary coastal hunter/gatherer Pacific Coast Indian nation that relies heavily on fishing. They occupy the valley of the lower Klamath River and the neighboring coast. The Yuroks, whose name means “downriver people” are Native Americans whose ancestors, have lived for at least 10,000 years near the Pacific Ocean coast of Northern California.
