54x54x3 oil I have great admiration for the small inhabitants of a lake, the fireflies, bugs, and grasshoppers.These creatures give an aliveness to the lakes. If you have been swimming in the middle of a lake, they are usually the only things keeping you company while you swim. The large brush strokes were done with a 35 dollar brush which was exciting to use. The small bits of color on the right bottom that looks like a small village of tiny guardians, it is exactly that.

I wanted to show the vibrancy of the sunset here. The palette I have pushed to be more of a bright clean colors that some days come to the mountains.
