Sens Cathedral Rose Window
It was begun in 1140 and belongs mainly to the 12th century, but was not complete until early in the 16th century. The architecture of its choir influenced, through the architect William of Sens, that of the choir of Canterbury Cathedral. The Rose WIndow depicted is a symbol of what all French Gothic Cathedrals embraced: stained glass depicting scences from the scripture. Rose Windows were the structure erected above the entrance ways on Gothic structures.

Amiens Cathedral (Cathédrale Notre-Dame d'Amiens) is the tallest Gothic church and largest cathedral in France. Along with the cathedrals of Chartres and Reims, Amiens is a member of the illustrious triad of "High Gothic" or "Classical" French cathedrals built in the 13th century. Amiens Cathedral was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981 for the beauty and harmony of its art and architecture.

The doorways of the Chartres Cathedral in France mirror the walls of the Dome of the Rock, not in shape or material, but in the great detail featured on them. Praising the majesty of Christ and depicting stories from the Bible, these portals arrest visitors before they even enter, just as the tiled exterior of the Dome of the Rock. Notre-Dame de Chartres
Designated a World heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979 the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Chartres was built from between 1145 and 1250. It's high nave is spanned by ogival pointed arches to form the vault, and the walls are supported by double flying buttresses. Chartres is the first building to have used buttresses as a structural element. Chartres Cathedral is also unique in
