Although that plant is almost certainly not wheat, it looked wheat-like enough to provide the illusion of a field. I love those shadows - they're so outside the traditional portrait. I really want to do more creative things with shadows...getting there. For once I didn't pull up the levels to get true whites, too, and aimed for a more retro grayscale look. Successful? Maybe.
