Vintage Livestock Shears For Goats, Sheep, Cattle, & Horses - FREE Domestoc Shipping!! My dad, a rancher in the Texas Hill Country, used these shears/clippers allll his working life. I recall helping him with sheep/goat shearing in the late 1930s before I was six years old. First in Kendall County Texas & later in Uvalde County Texas In his later years he either hired the shearing done or used a small gas powered or electric rig. By then these shears had sentenced to hanging on a nail on the barn wall & used occassionaly to trim horses' manes & tails. These have been left just as they were whenI took them off the barn wall after dad passed away. TThey are covered with rust & grime but the metal is still strong and the tension snaps the blades back when depressed & released . . . just as it did long ago. Cleaned up & sharpened they would still be a useful tool. As they are they make a wonderful display or conversation starter. hls/20220702
