The Quaker Square Inn in downtown Akron, Ohio

Silos built by Quaker Oats in 1932. Each silo was 120 feet tall and 24 feet in diameter. Quaker Oats terminated production in Akron in 1970 and moved the entire operation to Chicago. Silos listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. In 2007, the University of Akron bought the property and converted the upper floors into student dormitories, leaving just 65 rooms on the first three floors open to the public as the Quaker Square Inn. 41°04'51.1"N 81°30'55.7"W
