Friday Sept 3rd 2010. Another historic Detroit area building lost to fire. The building was the Highland Towers apartments. The massive Art Deco apartment building was actually located in Highland Park at 12850 Woodward Ave. Built in 1932 it included a row of storefronts along Woodward Ave and spanned an entire city block.
