Cockatoo plaque: hand-painted slips and underglazes on hand-textured terracotta clay. Some problems with this one: the white slip obscured some of the feather carving and the yellow and grey underglazes used for the beak and crest were overly darkened the red base ceramic, so I added a low-temperature acrylic gold there to return definition.
