1830s Dress w/bateau neck, dress fastens in back w/hooks & eyes from neck to waist; 2 diagonal rows of buttons applied to back of dress which follow line of pelerine when attached; lined with glazed linen.  Pelerine, same color & fabric as dress; 2 rows of ruching trim the edge matching those at top of sleeve of dress; a row of fabric covered buttons is applied at shoulder seam. LitchfieldHisSoc, CT.
