Latvian girl The Late Iron Age (9th - 13th century) saw five main tribal realms established in Latvia. The Baltic peoples comprised Sēļi (Selonians), Zemgaļi (Semigallians), Latgaļi (Latgallians), and Kurši (Couronians). In addition the Finno-Ugric Lībieši (Livs) were divided into Livs inhabiting the shores of the country’s principle rivers

Beautiful viking ensemble - I love the bright colors! Hard to tell what style of apron dress is here, could be a fully sewn one or a wrap (they can look similar when draped on a mannequin) But they definitely have a front panel look going with having the trim just in the front on the bottom hem. I think the whole thing is lovely.

Viking dress, shown on russian website. The ochre colour of the apron dress is probably very realistc for the period, whilst blue was rather expensive, as it was achieved by using indigo, which came, via arab traders, all the way from India. Thus blue was usually the colour of the nobility. But then, that is most likely the case with this garb, as the awesome tortoise brooches, and silver beads, make her a highborn, or rich, lady! Viking Clothing - Women usually wore an under-dress, a dress and an apron. Boots were made of leather. Women hung items from utility chains that were attached to brooches they wore at the top of their aprons, & from belts around their waists. They wore coats & cloaks.
