oldschoolfrp:  “Attack of the Taer” by Daniel Horne, his first cover for Dragon magazine No. 109, TSR, May 1986.  I always assumed that was a balding yeti, but taers are a humanoid race from the Monster Manual II that secrete a foul smelling oil to protect them from cold.
