Big Tree (Ado-Eete) (ca. 1850–1929) was a Kiowa warrior and chief who was active in the Indian Territory and Texas. He gained notoriety for his participation in the Warren Wagon train Raid (Salt Creek Massacre) in 1871 but spent his later years advocating peace and acceptance of the white man's culture. Big Tree - fearless Kiowa warrior who played a key role in numerous battles against the whites. Converting to Christianity in 1873 he helped develop a Baptist Mission.
