Specimen 1b. A rare large denomination Xian Feng Zhong Bao (咸豐元寶) 100 cash coin issued by the Board of Public Works (BoW) in Beijing during the reign of Emperor Xian Feng, who ruled over China, from 1850 to 1861 AD. This particular large cash coin, which had been in circulation, was further enhanced with hand engravings (known in Chinese as 'diao hua' cash), presumably for auspicious reasons.
