Diamond Florentine ~this indian diamond gives the brightest yellow light. It is one of the eldest diamonds in the world known from the 14th cent.It belonged to Charles The Bold, Duke of Sfotza, Pope Julius II and Medici. Empress Anne Ioanovna has heard about it and wanted to buy it but Russian treasury was empty.  So Anne sent her jester to Duke Gaston of Medici with a proposal to exchange the diamond on 55 thousand Russian soldiers! He refused. The diamond was inherited by Habsburg Empress.
