EMPRESS ELISABETH OF AUSTRIA  Called "Sisi" by her family, she was married at 16 to Franz Josef, ruler of the vast Austrian Empire. She was one of the most beautiful women in Europe, immortalized in numerous portraits. This PD is based on photos of the Empress as well as paintings for the most accurate likeness.
