A Silk on Linen Needlework Sampler Worked by Mary Ann Dinyes, Stouchbury, Pennsylvania, Mrs.

This "famous to stitchers" sampler (Elizabeth Sheffield) is up for grabs later this month at Sotheby's.  The Scarlet Letter has reproduced this as a chart/kit.  It is estimated this sampler will sell for $25,000-$35,000.  That bird at the top makes me happy.
