Artist Jacqueline Lou Skaggs from Queens, N.Y. transforms standard pennies into works of art.
Jacqueline Lou Skaggs: The Art of Pennies
Artist Jacqueline Lou Skaggs deliberately moved from making “pictorial” images to painting them on found pennies. She says she originally intended to spend the painted pennies or toss them away, but her plans were foiled when people bought the paintings. The series of 12 small works is called Tondi Observations.

copper pennies are used as miniature canvases for oil paintings titled "Tondi Observations" by Indiana artist Jacqueline Lou Skaggs.
This is all illustration and I think it looks so incredably cool. The coloring and look makes me think of Dia de los Muertos. It has a very mexican/spanish look to it and I think as a poster it works really well. Everything goes together really well in this piece and works well together. Even the font choice works with the piece.
