Freddie Mercury-The Great Pretender (1987) ~ This extended video, directed by David Mallet, accompanied Freddie Mercury's 7th solo single release, in 2/1987. Using rushes from the filming, the video perfectly captures the fun and frolics that Freddie and everyone around him enjoyed while recording this video. The two 'lady' backing vocalists are none other than Freddie's good friends Peter Straker and a certain Mr Roger Taylor, from a band called Queen. The single released in UK 23/Feb 1987

Queen had a pretty tough task when they took the stage at Live Aid in July of 1985. Given 20 minutes, they did everything possible to cram a full concert into it. They opened with an abbreviated "Bohemian Rhapsody" that went right into "Radio Ga Ga." They played two more songs before the finale of "We Will Rock You" into "We Are the Champions." Many bands were swallowed up by the enormous Wembley stage, but Mercury worked it like an absolute pro.
