Transforming a photograph into pointalism art for 'Focus on Photography' week

Tin foil, yarn, cardboard, and sharpies. This makes a cool low relief sculpture. Start by teaching about line variations, and color schemes (monochromatic, analogous, etc.). Cool project for 6-7th grade.

5th Grade art club Topography idea. Students begin drawing an organic shape on a large pc construction paper. Cut out - re-trace it on another piece copy the line only a little smaller. Keep up until pieces become small. Once all pieces are cut out - start to glue together put a small piece of styrofoam in between to show height.
