Norwegian Volunteer Front Nurse Grete Knudsen. She served with an SS-Gebirgsjäger unit in Finland, as denoted by her cap Edelweiß. Next to her ‘frontsösters’ bag hangs a Finnish Puukko knife.  Her brother Hans-Christian was an SS-Untersturmführer and was killed Feb. 25, 1943 by sniper fire near Gongozi, Russia. She wears a black armband in mourning. (Colourised by Reparations, Tumblr.
