A rare jewelled Fabergé ring, an oval cabochon emerald encircled by cushion cut diamonds, the shoulders of the reeded gold shank each set with four diamonds, mounted on a pierced gallery. Workmaster: Alfred Thielemann, St. Petersburg, circa 1900. Rings are the rarest forms of Fabergé jewellery. Very few have survived and been identified because Fabergé hallmarked rings on the outside of the shank and the marks wear away over time.
