A large Fabergé silver champagne cooler, workmaster Stefan Väkevä (Wäkeva), St Petersburg, 1899-1903, in neoclassical taste, the gadrooned bowl with palmette border, the knopped stem cast with bound reeds and acanthus, the square base with entrelac borders, four paw feet. This impressive cooler is perhaps the largest Fabergé object of its type known to exist.

Stunning scrolled floral designs to body with ruby and diamond jeweled crowned busts. Gold wash Interior. Bottom holds Nicolai Schepelew work master hallmarks and 84 silver purity with town marks. Includes fitted wooden presentation box. Measures 6 1/8" height x 2 1/2" diameter (15.5cm x 6.3cm). Total weight of 7.5ozt/235grams.
