Snowman

Snowman activities: Artsonia Art Museum : Artwork by Zachary This is called "Wind-blown snowman." Students could make one of their own with a mini sponge square. On the back, have students write a windy winter story.

If snow came down in colors, How splendid it would be, To make bright, jolly snowmen For everyone to see!

Use wallpaper books, scrapbook paper, or construction paper to make colorful snowmen and write "If snow came down in colors,/How splendid it would be/To make bright, jolly snowmen/For everyone to see.

winter birds project. meant for elementary kids but giving me tons of inspiration for my own!

Winter Bird Art Lesson

Winter Bird Art Lesson: Lois Ehlert’s book, Snowballs, is yet another inspiring book for elementary school art lessons. Instead of the featured snowmen, I gravitated towards the wonderful birds in birch trees.

Dalmatian

Newspaper and black paper dalmation collage. but I'd need fade-proof black construction paper for this to really pop!

Love this--this is one of the projects that turns out great no matter what. Good opportunities for instruction in art techniques, too!

My new favorite winter project. Only took one class period, the kids liked it and were really proud of themselves, and I have gotten soo many compliments on them.
