Egyptian-The Book of the Dead: an Egyptian funerary text used in the beginning of the New Kingdom, 1550 BCE to 50 BCE. It contains a collection of texts which include a number of magic spells to assist a dead person's journey through 'Duat' or underworld, and into the afterlife. Written by many different priests over a period of apx. 1000 years.
