The Etruscans lived in what is modern Tuscany , in the area bounded by the Tiber and Arno rivers, the Apennines and the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Mars on the horse The horse is a strong symbol in the Etruscan culture. Like in the Egyptian or in the Chinese culture the Etruscans would put in their tombs a large number of warriors or horses or chariots...to be their army in the next world, in fact for the Etruscans the death was only a passage to the next world. Mars (his Etruscan transposition) and Minerva are the most represented figures of the Etruscan mythology.
