LAKE SHORE, Daniel James (Flickr, 07/08/2010, Copi Hollow, NSW, Australia). A decade of drought caused the Darling River to become a series of pools & the Menindee Lakes were becoming lakes in name only. During 2010 the situation changed with rainfall bringing water back. The Darling River flowed and Menindee Lakes filled. Water means life to drought stricken farms, a green flush of growth, water flowing in rivers, but it also means death as shown by the drowned trees in Menindee Lake.
