Daphniphyllum macrocode is on your wish list. It's a shrub or small tree with large rhododendron-like leaves and pink-flushed new growth. Plant growers in this area occasionally have Daphniphyllum. In 2014 Swansons was able to get some, but it doesn't look as if any will be available this year. You might consider Rhododendron, the WA state standard that it closely resembles?
