These bowls were thrown with bits of seaweed and marine debris in them, rims fluctuant, growing ragged, evolving in response to environment the way the creatures of the tidal pools evolve and make thier world from the material they are surrounded by. It's one way of using porcelain and responding to the natural environment. I thought about it after talking to woodfirers about digging thier own clay and how that relates conceptually to thier work. #australianceramics #qlddesign…
