I LOVE using mod podge...here's a recipe to making your own...

Mod Podge in a Pint Jar (matte) Fill jar half way up with white glue (like Elmers) Then fill jar up with water. This is a mixture glue/water. It will have a Matte finish. If you would like a Glossy finish, add 1 TBS of clear varnish. Shake it!

Modge Podge Glaze Mix 3 parts white glue (elmer's or any cheap brand) to 1 part water. Add more or less water to get the desired texture and thickness. Add 2 Tbsp. varnish, for shine. Put into container with screw on lid. Homemade decoupage: To make your own decoupage medium, simply mix together equal parts of water and white craft glue, such as Tacky Glue. Mixture should be milky and a little thick, not too runny.

Mod Podge is crazy expensive. Make it yourself. A jar Elmer's Glue Water Shake well!

Alcohol Inks...DIY...Kool-aid & rubbing alcohol...super easy and far cheaper than buying them.

Easier, cheaper alcohol inks and dyes - use a cheap small spray bottle - mix KoolAid or food color or easter dye or RIT dye with rubbing alcohol. Intensity of color depends on amount of your preferred additive. I tried it and it works.
