imitation of life... this movie is older than my grandma, but the lesson it is so beautiful. it's about a young bi-racial girl who passes for white & is accepted by people who would normally hate her if they knew the truth. she denies her own mother & hates herself until she learns that no one can truly love you unless you love yourself first <3
