Seasons - Brainstorm seasonal words

Seasons - Brainstorm seasonal words I really like this because it launches a conversation on how weather affects what we wear and do.

Grade 1- Earth and Space Science- Daily and seasonal changes- Have the students work through this with the teacher. Have them brainstorm words and ideas that go with each season. If the classroom is having daily weather updates have the students predict the next season

Students create an anchor chart displaying the similarities and differences between the four seasons. Student could pick a specific object such as a tree to represent what the tree looks like in each season. Also a great way to integrate weather concepts.

Miss Stec's Kindergarten Kollections: Under The Weather....Students draw their favorite season and write about it.

Such a fun art and writing idea - have student write about their favorite season, then draw what they would see out their window in that season. They can then "hang curtains" on their window. My favorite weather or season bulletin for October

For kindergarten, I use it to show what they can do (smiley face in the check box) and what their newest personal challenge is (I highlight the check box). They keep it in their writing folders. It helps differentiate learning and gives each student focus. There are many other useful pages in the packet, too. All free!
