Myrna Loy (1905-1993) Most well known for her portrayal of Nora Charles in the Thin Man series with William Powell. Loy started in silent films as vamps or femme fatales. Her fervent hatred of Adolf Hitler put her on Hitler's blacklist. After WWII, she began appearing in comedies like The Bachelor and the Bobby Soxer, Cheaper by the Dozen, and Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House. She retired in 1982.
