The Royal Collection: Duckling Creator: Henrik Emanuel Wigström A duckling, carved in pale cream-brown aventurine quartz with cabochon ruby eyes and chased red gold legs. The aventurine quartz used for this study of a duckling lacks the naturalism of other hardstones selected to represent the true colouring of a particular animal, however the animal sculptures themselves are very carefully observed.
