1920s Evening Coat Silk chiffon coat with fused silk cut velvet appliques. The base fabric is light coral backed in pale pink - giving the chiffon extra depth. On the chiffon is a design of fused silk velvet flowers. It is cocoon shaped, closes low on the front with a fabric covered button with a hook and eye behind it. The sleeves are kimono style edged in metallic gold lace. The back has a panel of metallic lace with the back fabric gathered up and into the lace panel. 3 Private collection
