As stated earlier, rice is featured heavily in the Ayurvedic yogic diet. In India most meals are served with basmati rice, a light and aromatic long-grain variety with a cooling effect on the body.

Perfect microwave basmati rice: in a glass dish with lid, put one cup of rice and two cups of water. Cook for five minutes on power and then six minutes at power (don't stir! Let sit and steam for a few minutes, then enjoy!

2 x cloves, 1 x cardamon, 1 x stick cinnamon. Enough water just to cover. Cook, checking on water so it doesn't boil dry. Don't want to drain. When cooked put kitchen roll under lid and let it stem into this. Then add 1 x tablespoon of ghee & fluff up
