“Photographs are two-dimensional drawings of light reflected from three-dimensional reality. Most of the time we see photographs on paper, either on photographic paper framed on the walls, or prints in the books. From the very beginning, when I was still learning things about photography, I had a wish to break away from that tradition, to find a way back to the three-dimensional reality that photographs represent.” -Galina Manikova
