This is Ugali. Ugali is a major staple food eaten in Tanzania and Kenya. It is a paste made from cornmeal or sorghum flour and cooked with water to create this paste. It is commonly eaten at lunch and dinner.

Githeri is a Kenyan traditional dish of maize and kidney beans. It is a staple dish in Kenya because it includes the staple food as one of the ingredients which is corn.  It is easy to access because maize and beans are always available since most Kenyans are farmers. Garnishing would include some parsley or mint.
