I seriously don't think that you can find a prettier flock of chickens than a bunch of Swedish Flower Hens. And they're gaining in popularity in the states! My Swedish grandmother recalls having these on her farm - they are cold-hardy and friendly.

Raising chickens? Feed them these herbs for health: garlic & onion; chickweed; dandelion; fennel; wormwood; rue; cleavers; mint; cress; marigold; vervain; comfrey; mullein root; thyme; marjoram; sage; nasturtium; mugwort; goat's rue;  gotu kola; parsley. (Don't worry about amounts – chickens will eat only what they need.)
