Tangara heinei - tangarka czarnołbista - Black-capped Tanager

I photographed this tanager during the most recent tour that I led to Ecuador. This is a setup shot with a perch held by a flash stand and a banana on the end to attract the birds (That's what many of them eat down there).

The highly attractive Rufous-tailed Jacamar (Galbula ruficauda) is a common bird in the Pantanal, often found along river shores, where they nest in burrows. The members of the family Galbulidae, exclusively neotropical, were in the past considered members of the Kingfishers, from which they share some physical similarities, although jacamars never fishes, they eat almost exclusively flying insects. The jacamars are also remarkably similar to the old-world bee-eaters
