Loenvatn Lake, Lodalen Valley, Norway - The Kjenndalen Valley & the Kjenndalen Glacier lie at the end of Lodal valley, 17 km from Loen. Twice in this century, huge blocks of stone fell from the sides of Mt. Ramnefjell into the Lovatn lake below. The resulting tidal waves decimated the hamlets of Nesdal and Bødal. The years 1905 and 1936 will forever remind people of Inner Nordfjord of the Lodal Valley catastrophes.
